🔁 Grammar A1-10: Present simple
The biggest topic of A1.1, and the material with the most practice in the Fleydo A1 grammar series, written for learners of about seven to ten. It builds the present simple in three steps that a child can hold in their head: the verb is the same for everybody, he / she / it adds a little s, and that same s jumps onto does in negatives and questions — so it is doesn’t play, never doesn’t plays. A spelling table covers goes, watches, studies, has and does. Five multiple-choice sets (forty items in all), a twelve-card sorting task that trains the one habit the whole topic depends on — turning my sister into she — and eight real classroom errors to repair give forty times more practice than the minimum.
