🥛 Little Stars 23: Milk, Bread and Cake

The play lesson of the Yummy Food unit, for children aged 4–6 who cannot read yet. Four new food and drink words come out of the shopping bag one at a time — milk, water, bread, cake — and every one of them is echoed inside the polite chunk, never on its own. Pip then forgets its manners in a puppet sketch and demands cake, and the class rescues the puppet by supplying the magic word six times over. The heart of the lesson is a ten-minute tea party with the toy tea set: nothing at all is served until “Milk, please!” arrives, and every child says “Thank you!” when the cup is filled. A hungry caterpillar mini-story revises the fruit from the previous lesson and counts five of them on small fingers, and the class ends with a wash-hands mime, a snack chant sung slow, faster and in a whisper, a sticker and the fixed Goodbye Song. Everything is spoken, gestured and played — there is no reading and no need to hold a pencil.
