🥇 Little Stars 33: Mini Olympics

The I Can Move checkpoint of the Little Stars Compact 36 journey, staged as a mini Olympics so that nothing feels like a test. After the Hello routine with the puppet Pip and three rounds of the Warm-Up Song, the whole class marches one slow lap behind the Olympic torch: this is the rehearsal, and every child says their “I can …!” once as they pass the teacher, with the quiet ones rescued here rather than in front of the crowd. Then the four stations open — jump the river of tape, hop the floor dots, run the cones, and the clap-dance zone — about four minutes each, with the athlete announcing the chunk out loud at the station and walking straight to the back of that line, so no queue ever stands still and no child is ever out. The medal ceremony gives a paper medal to every single athlete: the teacher says out loud, before the first one is handed over, that effort earns the medal and not skill, and the class cheers each champion by name. A frozen champion photo with all the medals on, three calm breaths with Pip and the fixed Goodbye Song close the lesson. The teacher plan carries the observation list with two tick boxes per child — the chunk and the four stations — plus the three-star scale and the rule to tick only as the athlete walks away.
