💎 Little Stars 9: Number Treasure Hunt

The Show & Shine lesson that closes the Counting Fun unit of the Little Stars Compact 36 journey. It opens with the fixed Hello Routine and Ten Little Fingers, warms up with a quick finger quiz in which Pip calls a number and the class shows it on their fingers and counts the jewels on screen, then sends everybody hunting for a hidden bag holding two to five jewels. A short partner round is the rehearsal — each child counts the bag to a friend and they swap — before the checkpoint itself: one child at a time counts the treasure aloud to the puppet, one tap per jewel, while the class counts along and claps. A drum-beat jumping dance and the same jewel sticker for every child turn the assessment into a celebration, and the closing teacher screen carries the minute-by-minute flow, the materials, the 30-minute adaptation, the home connection and the three-level observation list — alone, with the class, not yet — plus the highest confident count to note per child. Nothing is read or written by the children; the material is driven by the teacher on a large screen.
