📍 Where Is My Phone?
In Lesson 9 of the Fleydo A1 Adults grammar series, students learn the 9 essential prepositions of place needed to describe where things are in everyday English. The lesson opens with a visual warm-up grid showing each preposition with its Turkish translation and a simple icon. The dialogue follows Anna losing her phone before class — Marco, Yuki and Mr Brown help her search in her bag, on the table, under the chair, behind the books and finally in her coat pocket behind the door, naturally producing all 9 prepositions in context. A 20-item vocabulary table covers prepositions and common objects used with them. Three grammar boxes present the topic systematically: Box A lists all 9 prepositions with meaning and examples; Box B teaches the Where is/are question pattern with singular and plural answers; Box C highlights the three most common mistakes (in vs on for surfaces, forgetting of in in front of, forgetting to in next to). Practice includes a 10-question interactive game, a 6-question quiz, 8 fill-in-the-blank classroom description sentences with dropdown selectors, a speaking task with Where is questions, and a writing task describing a room using 5 different prepositions.
