📅 Grammar A1-11: Adverbs of frequency
The eleventh material of the Fleydo A1 grammar series, written for learners of about seven to ten. It has two halves. The first teaches meaning: a moon ladder runs from a full moon at 100% (always) down to a new moon at 0% (never), with usually, often and sometimes on the steps between, plus tap-to-hear examples and six repeat-after-me cards. The second half teaches the part that costs marks — position. Two pattern pictures carry the whole rule (I always walk / I am always late), a right-and-wrong table shows six pairs, and one question drives every decision: can I see am, is or are? Practice is spread across four sets — eight meaning items, six position items, a ten-card before-or-after sorting task and eight harder items inside short stories — followed by six real errors to repair and a six-item test. Every answer explains itself in language simpler than the grammar being taught. Teacher notes give a 45-minute sequence, the paper-card board move, what to do with a stuck learner, and why the fronted “Sometimes I…” should wait.

- After am / is / are: I am always late. They are usually here.
- The check: can I see am, is or are? Yes → after it. No → before the verb.
- One no-word is enough: I never eat fish (not “I do not never eat fish”)
- The verb keeps its -s for he / she / it: She always plays.
