👑 Little Stars 2: Names in the Circle

The second lesson of the Little Stars Compact 36 journey turns last week’s greetings into games. After the fixed Hello Routine with Pip the puppet and the four-line Hello Song, the class claps the beats of a friend’s name in a whole-group chant, plays a musical teddy pass where the child holding the teddy answers “I’m (name)!”, hunts for the hidden puppet and greets it with “Hello, Pip!”, then decorates a paper name crown and parades in it with a hello for everybody. The question “What’s your name?” is receptive only: the teacher asks it every time and models the answer for shy children, while the productive target stays the single chunk “I’m (name)!”. Everything is spoken, sung, clapped or waved — children never read or spell anything, and nobody is ever out of a game. The closing teacher screen carries the minute-by-minute flow, the materials list, support and challenge notes, the 30-minute adaptation and the home connection.
