📖 Lesson B2 Speaking📐 Grammar

🔨 Horizon: The Definition Auction

The module-5 task lesson: relatives in persuasive production. Coach Deniz turns the studio into an auction house where every pitch must stack a function clause (which/that) on a story clause (whose/where). Learners revise the whole relative system — that after superlatives and the only, glamour commas, mystery-mode paraphrase — then draft, deliver and judge auction pitches, closing with real auctioneer language: going once, going twice… sold.

auto_fix_high Grammar Points

  • Stacking clauses sells: item + which/that clause for function + whose/where clause for story
  • After the only, the first and superlatives, English prefers that: the only mug that leaks with style
  • Non-defining glamour clauses take commas and which (or who), never that: This watch, which survived three expeditions, still ticks
  • one of the few + plural noun + that takes a plural verb: one of the few gadgets that actually work
