📖 Lesson A2 Reading🏠 Everyday Life

🔥 The Great Fire of London

In September 1666, a small fire started in a bakery on Pudding Lane in London. The flames spread quickly through the narrow streets and wooden houses. For four days, the fire burned out of control, destroying more than 13,000 homes and 87 churches, including the old St Paul's Cathedral. This is the story of how London was almost completely destroyed — and how it was rebuilt into a modern city.
