👪 Family & Relationships
In this reading-based lesson, three teenagers (Yusuf, Chloe, Ines) talk about their families for a school podcast. Yusuf describes his extended family and how his relationship with his brother changed. Chloe shares her experience of divorced parents, a stepdad, and a half-brother. Ines talks about being an only child and her close bond with her cousin. Students learn extended family vocabulary, 'used to' for past habits, 'didn't use to' for negatives, the difference between 'used to' and 'be used to', and relationship phrasal verbs (get on with, look up to, take after, hang out with). Includes matching game, quiz, fill-in-the-blanks, and a writing task.
