🚀 Horizon: Reading — Futurist Predictions

Reading lesson of the future module. Learners read futurist predictions like judges: they separate each claim from its evidence, place it on the probability dial (bound to → likely to → may well → might → unlikely to) with a percentage zone, and defend or calibrate the rating when challenged. In the story, the crew scores a 1999 magazine’s predictions for 2020 — discovering that hype fails while boring breakthroughs arrive — then rates a fresh article, The 2035 Files, on the class probability board. Sam’s 100% rating for “homework abolished by 2030” is rejected for lack of evidence; his evidence was “hope”.
