🎭 Horizon: Style Shifting Live
Third lesson of the register module and the live-performance session. Learners deliver the same message to a friend, a teacher and an official on demand, controlling the request ladder (Can you…? → Could you…? → Would you mind + -ing? → I would be grateful if you could…), indirect-question word order and the polite distance of past forms. In the story, Coach Deniz unveils a carnival wheel with three audience sectors: Marco lands a perfect teacher-register apology, Priya writes a faithfully-signed noise complaint, Sam discovers his most fluent register is borrowing money from friends, and the whiteboard becomes a mismatch clinic for crimes like “Yo, esteemed council members”.

- Request ladder by formality: Can you…? → Could you (possibly)…? → Would you mind + -ing? → I would be grateful if you could + base verb
- Would you mind is always followed by the -ing form: Would you mind sending…, never to send
- Indirect questions keep statement word order: Could you tell me when the office opens? — no auxiliary do and no inversion
