🔥 Grammar B1-12: Broader range of intensifiers

At B1 an adjective stops having one volume. This material builds the whole system in two halves. First the strength dial for ordinary adjectives — a bit, quite, pretty, really, very, extremely, incredibly — drawn as a visual scale and drilled for placement, together with the limit tools: too + adjective, too much and too many matched to uncountable and countable nouns, enough sitting after adjectives but before nouns, and so + adjective against such (a) + adjective + noun. Then the rule the dial cannot see: extreme adjectives like freezing, exhausted, brilliant, enormous and terrible already contain the idea of very, so they refuse it and take absolutely or really instead — mapped pair by pair from cold → freezing to happy → delighted. A verdict panel resolves the contrast, an over-the-top match report lets learners tap twelve intensifiers to read why each was chosen, and practice is heavy and spread: thirty-two multiple-choice items across four sets, a twelve-word ordinary-vs-extreme sorting task, six typical errors to repair and four trap boxes, every answer teaching the reason rather than the verdict.
