📖 Lesson A1 Grammar📐 Grammar

🔗 Grammar A1-30: Conjunctions

The joining-words material of the Fleydo A1 grammar series, written for learners of about seven to ten. It teaches and, but, or and because by the job each one does, never as a list to memorise: a picture of the sentence shape, a four-row table of jobs, then tap-and-repeat cards with two model sentences per word. A short park story lets learners tap every joining word and hear why that one was chosen. Practice is spread over four sets — eight easy items where one answer is clearly the only sensible one, a seven-item set built entirely around because as the answer to Why?, eight harder items inside real contexts, and a six-item silent test — plus six sentences to repair. Every answer explains itself in language simpler than the grammar being taught. A Watch out section names the three real errors: a half sentence after because, a full stop where the joining word belongs, and doubling up with and but. Teacher notes give a 45-minute sequence, a four-picture board move, help for the learner stuck between and and but, and the follow-up topics.
