🌦️ Grammar A2-30: First conditional

The thirtieth material of the Fleydo A2 grammar series, and the one that fixes the single most common future mistake in English. A first conditional puts one possible future event on the table — rain before nine, a goal in the last minute, a dog that slips its lead — and then says what the result will be. The material teaches it as two halves with two different jobs: the half that begins with if names the possibility and wears present clothes however far away it is, and the other half carries will or won’t plus a plain verb. A four-step procedure and two worked examples make that split something a learner can re-derive rather than remember, and six reveal cards make them commit to right or wrong before the reason appears. A compare-and-verdict pair on two buttons of the same machine separates this pattern from the zero conditional of A2-29: press this button and the light comes on every time, but press that button and the alarm will ring, once. The always test decides which is which, and ten sentences are sorted with it. Both orders are covered with the comma that goes with them, together with won't in the result, doesn't in the if half, and questions such as What will you do if it snows? Practice runs to thirty-one multiple-choice items across four sets, plus six errors to repair and three traps.
