🌈 Little Stars 6: My Rainbow Show
A complete 45-minute teacher-led lesson that closes the Rainbow Colours unit of the Little Stars Compact 36 journey with a Show & Shine checkpoint. After the fixed Hello Routine with the puppet Pip, a fast flash-scarf quiz brings all six colours back: a scarf appears for one second and the whole class shouts the colour, twelve quick calls in six minutes. Then every child builds their own rainbow, gluing six pre-cut crepe strips into arcs while naming each colour aloud; the screen fills in the same six arcs as the class works. A quiet rehearsal step follows — Pip goes from table to table and each child points at one arc and says “It’s red!” in private before anybody performs. In MY RAINBOW SHOW each child in turn stands on the gold star, holds their rainbow up and names its colours while the class cheers; six dots on the teacher’s side of the screen tally how many colours that child managed without help, which is exactly the checkpoint measure. A three-line rainbow dance with all the scarves, calm breathing and the Goodbye Song close the lesson. Nothing is read and nothing is written. The final teacher screen carries the minute-by-minute plan, the checkpoint card with the three ticks to record per child, materials, support and challenge notes, the 30-minute adaptation and the home connection.
