🔭 Horizon: Future Continuous & Perfect
Opening lesson of the future module. Learners project themselves forward with two lenses: the future continuous (will be + -ing) for actions in progress at a specific future moment, and the future perfect (will have + past participle) for actions complete before a future point. They learn the signal phrases that select each lens (this time next year, at nine tomorrow versus by then, by 2030), the chained pattern that links them, and the by-the-time trap, where the time clause stays in the present simple. In the story, Coach Deniz unveils a foil-wrapped telescope whose focus dial shows dates instead of distances, Sam projects four statistical centimetres of growth, a bicycle horn punishes “by the time we will arrive”, and the crew pins dated milestones to a timeline wall running all the way to the Symposium.
