🚶 Sunshine Club 2: Places in Town
A fully interactive A1.2 Kids vocabulary lesson from the Sunshine Club 2 series (Lesson 31, Around Town unit). Children warm up with four questions (name a place, do you have a park, say a There's-a line, where do you like to go). The Word Focus has two boxes: eight town places with emoji (park, shop, school, cinema, hospital, playground, zoo, café) each with a 3-4 word definition, and a There's-a pattern box (There's a + park -> There's a park in my town) with a tips chip panel. Ten key words (the 8 places plus town and place) appear in a scrollable table with 4-8 word definitions and There's-a examples, and six get review flashcards. The Reading Corner tells 'Omar's Town' (about 95 words, lines of 4-9 words): Omar and Ela walk past the park, shop, school, cinema, zoo and café - with six hover-tooltip words and a six-chip Word cards row (park, shop, school, cinema, zoo, café). Practice gives 8 one-word fill-in-the-blank sentences (the place words and There's) with live green/red feedback and hints; Speaking is a My-Town chat with five prompts and a six-line model dialogue between Nina and Tom; the Writing task mirrors the homework (three real places in your town) with three There's-a frames, a four-step checklist, a live word counter (aim 15-30 words) and auto-save. An 8-question multiple-choice Sunshine Quiz with a progress bar, one-line explanations, a result circle and localStorage persistence closes the lesson.
