📖 Lesson A1 Vocabulary🎉 Fun & Culture

🎨 Sunshine Club 2: What I Do for Fun!

A fully interactive A1.2 Kids vocabulary lesson from the Sunshine Club 2 series (Lesson 37, Hobbies unit). Children warm up with four actions (mime a hobby, say 'My hobby is...', kick a football then dance, ask a friend their hobby). The Word & Pattern Focus has two boxes: a 'Hobbies we love' box with emoji rows (swimming, dancing, painting, football) and a chip row of six more hobbies (reading, basketball, cycling, singing, gaming, cooking), and a 'Say your hobby' box modelling My hobby is / I love / I like. Ten key words (swimming, dancing, painting, reading, football, basketball, cycling, singing, gaming, cooking) appear in a scrollable table with 3-6 word definitions and example lines, and six get review flashcards. The Reading Corner tells 'Our Sunny Weekend' (about 100 words, lines of 4-9 words): each of the four friends has a hobby - Ela painting, Tom football, Nina dancing, Omar cooking - and on Sunday they swim and sing together, with six hover-tooltip words and a six-chip Word cards row for early literacy (hobby, love, painting, football, dancing, cooking). Practice gives 8 one-word fill-in-the-blank sentences (painting, football, dancing, cooking, swimming, singing, cycling, gaming) with live green/red feedback and hints; Speaking is a hobby-talk pair game with five prompts and a six-line model dialogue between Ela and Omar; the Writing task mirrors the homework (name your hobby and your family's hobbies) with three frames, a four-step checklist, a live word counter (aim 15-30 words) and auto-save. An 8-question multiple-choice Sunshine Quiz with a progress bar, one-line explanations, a result circle and localStorage persistence closes the lesson.
