🪐 Sunshine Club 2: But Today...!

A fully interactive A1.2 Kids grammar lesson from the Sunshine Club 2 series (Lesson 51, Now vs Every Day unit). Children warm up with four playful actions (say a usually line, say a but-today line, mime both halves, think of a but-today idea). The Pattern Focus is one clear box that builds the usually-X-but-today-Y contrast pair: the every-day half is present simple (I usually walk), the now half is present continuous (but today I'm running!), joined by 'but' - three colour-tagged pair examples and a tips chip panel (usually = every day; today = now; but = in the middle; I'm + -ing for today). Ten words appear in a scrollable table (but, today, usually, walk, run, eat, read, paint, wear, dance) with 4-8 word definitions, and six get review flashcards. The Story Corner tells 'Fun Friday' (about 95 words, short sentences): on a special day each Sunshine friend does the opposite of usual, with six hover-tooltip words and a six-chip Word cards row for early literacy. Practice gives 8 one-word fill-in-the-blank sentences (but, usually, today, walks, is, reads, are, am - including two 3rd-person -s items) with live green/red feedback and hints; Speaking is an opposite-mimes pair game with five prompts and a six-line model dialogue between Tom and Omar; the Writing task mirrors the homework (one true but-today pair) with three frames, a four-step checklist, a live word counter (aim 15-30 words) and auto-save. An 8-question multiple-choice Sunshine Quiz with a progress bar, two story questions, one-line explanations, a result circle and localStorage persistence closes the lesson.
