📚 Story A1 Reading🏠 Everyday Life

⏰ A Very Long Monday

In this funny, feel-good storybook for A1-level teen readers, thirteen-year-old Tom has the worst morning of his life. His alarm clock is silent, so he wakes up late. He puts on the wrong clothes, misses the school bus, gets soaked in the rain, and a car splashes him with dirty water. When he finally reaches school — soaking wet and very late — he finds the door locked and a sign that says the school is closed for a holiday! But Tom's terrible Monday slowly turns sweet: on the walk home he finds a lost dog, helps it find its owner, and is given a box of six lovely cakes as a thank-you. Written entirely in present simple with very short sentences and lots of clock and daily-routine vocabulary, this 14-page story is perfect for beginners. It features embedded vocabulary tooltips, interactive flashcards, a vocabulary matching game, fill-in-the-blank practice, and a 10-question comprehension quiz.
