CEFR A1โC1: Language Education in Gymnasium Standards
Thanks to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and Germany's KMK Bildungsstandards, English proficiency targets are clearly defined for each school type. As of the June 2023 update, Sek. I targets are ESA=A2 and MSA=B1; Gymnasium upper level (Sek. II) targets B2 (Grundkurs) / B2โC1 (Leistungskurs).
Grundschule (general model)
Sekundarstufe I โ Erster Schulabschluss
Sekundarstufe I โ Mittlerer Schulabschluss
Gymnasium โ Sekundarstufe I
Gymnasium โ Sekundarstufe II (Grundkurs)
Gymnasium โ Sekundarstufe II (Leistungskurs)
Targets based on KMK 22.06.2023 (ESA/MSA) and KMK 18.10.2012 Abitur standards. Source: kmk.org
Fleydo aligns its programs with Gymnasium targets:
- In Sekundarstufe I, we prepare students for B1/B1+ proficiency.
- In Sekundarstufe II, we target B2 (Grundkurs) and B2โC1 (Leistungskurs) proficiency.
In our 6-student classes, we design lessons around all CEFR skills โ listening, reading, speaking, writing โ aligned to KMK standards. This way, our students reach levels that match their school report card targets and are recognised across Europe.
