English levels
The guides in this collection explain what each English level means in practice, from Pre-A1 to C1: what a learner can usually do, which grammar and vocabulary topics belong to that level, and what comes next.
They use the CEFR, the international scale that schools and exams use to describe language ability, and they are written in plain language for students and parents.
To find your own starting point, try the free English level test, which gives an indicative CEFR level in about 12 minutes. The English level by age page shows the level children typically reach at each age.
