๐Ÿ“– Lesson A2 Speaking๐ŸŒฟ Nature

๐Ÿž๏ธ Explorers: Then and Now

A fully interactive A2 Kids practise lesson that trains the deep storytelling skill under this level: contrasting past and present in one breath. Students begin with four time-travel warm-up questions (dinosaurs, animals today, old toys, family changes), then recap the language in two compact boxes: Then: was & were (I/he/she/it + was, we/you/they + were, with negatives wasn't/weren't) and Then-and-Now in One Breath, with a switch table (was to is, were to are, there was a forest to there is a city, my dad was small to now he is very tall) and a time-signals panel (millions of years ago, then, long ago vs now, today). Ten key words (dinosaur, million, years ago, extinct, alive, huge, tiny, lizard, planet, forest) appear in a scrollable table with kid-friendly definitions, and six get review flashcards. The reading is a magazine-style Team File (~220 words): Team Compass visits the Dinosaur Hall, discovers how different our planet was, and learns that birds are little dinosaurs โ€” with 8 hover-tooltip words and contrast sentences in natural context. Practice includes 8 fill-in-the-blank contrast sentences (was/were/is/are, there was/were, extinct) with live green/red validation, hints and a score bar; a Timeline Theatre speaking section with five freeze-frame prompts and a model 4-line dialogue; a guided 25-40 word writing task turning the homework (My dad was small. Now...) into family then/now pairs with a four-point checklist and auto-saving word counter; and an 8-question quiz (tense contrast, there was/were, vocabulary, plus 2 reading questions) with a progress bar, per-question explanations, a result circle and localStorage persistence.
