👀 Little Stars 10: Head and Face

A complete 45-minute teacher-led lesson that opens the My Body unit of the Little Stars Compact 36 journey. After the fixed Hello Routine with the puppet Pip, Pip names five parts on its own face — head, eyes, ears, nose and mouth — and the whole class touches the same part on their own faces. A four-line Face Song with big pointing actions runs in a slow and a faster round; then the chunk “Touch your nose!” becomes a listening game with silly slow and silly fast speed rounds, plus a named turn for one child at a time. Mirror play follows: happy, winky and funny faces, with the class naming the part that moved. The lesson ends with a paper-plate face — pre-cut eyes, nose and mouth are stuck down and named aloud — then calm breathing and the Goodbye Song. Safeguarding is built in: the teacher models every part on their own face and never touches a child; children touch only themselves. Nothing is read and nothing is written.
