👔 Horizon: Phrasal Verbs & Their Formal Twins
Second lesson of the register module. Learners pair twelve everyday phrasal verbs with their one-word formal twins (find out → discover, put off → postpone, call off → cancel, put up with → tolerate…), learn the separability grammar that the twins do not share, and practise choosing phrasal or twin by audience. In the story, the crew pairs a 24-card deck, battles through a twin-snap tournament, and Sam sends the group chat a message — “The party has been postponed 😭” — that Coach Deniz declares a tie worn with pyjamas: grammatically perfect, socially impossible.
