🎧 Builders: Song Lab
A fully interactive B1.1 Media Lab lesson (Builders' Studio, ages 10-13) built around an original, school-safe studio song, 'Brick by Brick'. Learners meet the three-step song-mining method: gap-fill on the rhymes (cover the last word of each line and predict it), harvest the chunks (pull out reusable phrases like 'day by day', 'step by step' and 'start again'), and meaning talk (discuss the mood and message). Ten key words are taught with B1 definitions and examples (lyrics, verse, chorus, rhyme, chunk, line, beat, mood, message, catchy), six revisited as flashcards. The reading, 'Inside the Song Lab', shows Sam leading the studio while Aylin, Marco and Priya gap-fill, harvest and discuss, with hover-tooltip glosses. Practice has 8 single-word fill-in-the-blanks (four rhyme gap-fills from the song, four vocabulary items) with live validation, hints and a running score; speaking gives five meaning-circle prompts and a six-line model dialogue; the writing task is a 40-70 word playlist harvest tied to the homework, with a four-point checklist and live word counter with auto-save; and an 8-question quiz mixes song-mining vocabulary with two reading-comprehension questions, with a progress bar, per-question explanations, a conic-gradient result circle and localStorage persistence.
Lesson Plan

Key Vocabulary
Grammar Points
