🍎 Sunshine Club: Yummy or Yucky?
A fully interactive A1.1 Kids vocabulary lesson from the Sunshine Club series (Lesson 43, Food unit). Children warm up by rubbing their tummy for 'Yummy!' and pulling a funny face for 'Yucky!'. Word Power presents the ten foods in emoji word rows split into Fruit (apple, banana, orange) and Snacks and more (bread, cheese, egg, milk, pizza, cake, ice cream), then the reaction pattern box: It's + food + Yummy!/Yucky!/Mmm! with a reaction-word chip panel. The ten foods appear in a friendly vocabulary table with 3-6 word definitions and tiny examples (a/an modelled naturally: an apple, a banana). Story Corner is a 70-word picnic story where each Sunshine kid names a food and reacts — Omar thinks cheese is yucky! — with five hover word cards and a sight-word chip row. Six flashcards review the tastiest words. Practice offers 8 emoji-supported one-word fill-in-the-blanks (apple, yellow, milk, yummy, egg, cold, is, bread) with hints and live green/red feedback. Speaking gives five yum/yuck drill prompts and a 6-line Ela-and-Omar example dialogue. The writing task mirrors the homework (name your dinner foods in English) with three sentence frames, a 4-step checklist and a live word counter aiming for 10-20 words. An 8-question Sunshine Quiz with one-sentence explanations, progress bar, result circle and localStorage saving closes the lesson.
