🦸 What Makes a Hero?
Students read an 800+ word article exploring different types of heroism through real examples: Mamoudou Gassama's barehand building climb to save a child in Paris, Greta Thunberg's climate protest movement, and the invisible everyday heroes whose kindness changes lives quietly. Psychologist Dr. Ayesha Malik identifies three shared qualities: empathy, courage and selflessness. Grammar covers defining relative clauses with who (people), which (things), that (people/things), where (places) and whose (possession), including combining two sentences into one. The interactive game presents 10 sentences where students choose the correct relative pronoun. The writing task asks students to describe someone they admire using at least 4 relative clauses.
