🏆 Explorers: My Top Three
A fully interactive A2 Kids practise lesson that combines superlatives with because-reasons - the lesson where opinions grow up. Students begin with four fast warm-up questions (favourite snack, best game, number one team, I love weekends because...), then review the language in two compact blocks: Superlatives, Fast Recap (the + -est for short words, the most for long words, used for personal favourites) and Because Power (opinion + because + reason with formula chips, why-question examples, a careful-reminder never to stop at 'I like it', and an opinion-starters panel: My favourite ... is, I think, ... is number one, The best ... of all, because). Ten key words (favourite, top, number one, because, the best, the worst, vote, winner, reason, choose) appear in a scrollable table with kid-friendly definitions and examples, and six get detailed review flashcards. The reading is a magazine-style Team File called The Great Snack Vote (~215 words): Miss Lin's one rule - every vote needs a reason - powers four funny speeches from Zeynep, Leo, Mia and Kofi, a hands-up vote with counted results, and a three-box podium ceremony, with key words highlighted on hover. Practice includes 8 contextualised fill-in-the-blank questions (favourite, number one, because, the best, the most, top three, vote, winner) with live green/red validation, hints and a running score; a rich speaking section with five ranking, voting and award-ceremony prompts plus a model podium dialogue; a guided 25-40 word writing task (my top three with at least one because) with a four-point checklist and a live word counter with auto-save; and a full 8-question multiple-choice quiz featuring a progress bar, per-question explanations, a conic-gradient result circle with tiered motivational feedback, and localStorage persistence.
