🧱 Builders: Listening Reboot

A fully interactive B1.1 teens listening-strategy lesson from the Builders' Studio Launchpad. Students reboot the way they listen so that fast speech and unknown words stop being scary. Four warm-up questions surface their real habits, then a two-box strategy toolkit teaches the core method: Two Listens, Two Jobs (predict the topic, listen once for the gist, listen again for details, pause and rewind to check) and Don't Panic: The Rescue Moves (step over unknown words, guess from context, catch key words, never freeze to translate). Ten key strategy words (gist, detail, catch, clip, subtitles, predict, context, keyword, rewind, pause) appear with full B1 definitions and examples, and six get review flashcards. Part four is the transcript of Clip 2 — Sam's Skate Diary — with Priya's gist-first method shown underneath and seven hover-tooltip words. Practice offers eight single-word strategy fill-ins with live feedback and hints; speaking gives five habit-sharing prompts and a six-line model dialogue between Aylin and Priya; the guided 40-70 word writing task turns the song homework into a structured paragraph with a four-point checklist and live word counter; and an eight-question quiz mixes strategy items with two comprehension questions about the transcript, with a progress bar, explanations, a result circle and localStorage saving.
