🥤 My Favourite Drinks: Likes & Dislikes
A fully interactive A1 Teens speaking-and-vocabulary lesson built around a friendly everyday theme — drinks and preferences. Students warm up with four reflection questions about what they drink, then study a grid of eight common drinks (water, milk, tea, coffee, juice, hot chocolate, lemonade, smoothie) and a visual feelings scale from love to hate. A language block presents like/likes in affirmative, negative (don't/doesn't like), and question forms with short answers (Yes, I do / No, she doesn't), plus like + noun and like + -ing, and a spelling reminder table with favourite + noun. Nine essential phrases are chipped for memorisation. The reading follows Yusuf describing his family's different favourite drinks, ending with the one drink everyone loves — water; every like/love/hate form is bolded and key words are tooltipped. Ten A1 vocabulary items appear in a horizontally-scrollable table, and six core items get detailed flashcards. Practice includes 8 contextualised fill-in-the-blank questions (like/likes, don't/doesn't, Do/Does, short answer, favourite) with hints, live validation, and score tracking; a speaking task about the student's tastes with partner prompts and a model dialogue; a guided writing task with a five-point checklist and live word counter; and a full 8-question multiple-choice quiz with progress bar, per-question explanations, a conic-gradient result circle with tiered feedback, and localStorage persistence.
