📖 Lesson A2 Vocabulary🍎 Food & Cooking

🍎 Explorers: Food World Tour

A fully interactive A2 Kids vocabulary lesson in the Explorer Club world, taking children on a Food World Tour. Students warm up with four food questions, then study the language in three blocks: Giving Your Opinion (I love / like / don't like + food, and my favourite food is...), Describing Food (taste words delicious, tasty, yummy, spicy, sweet, fresh with example sentences), and Food Questions (a tour-question table: Do you like...? What's your favourite? Where is it from? Is it spicy?). Twelve foods, including international dishes, appear in a scrollable table — pasta, rice, soup, salad, chicken, fish, noodles, cheese, pizza, sushi, tacos and curry — each with a kid-friendly definition, its country where relevant, and an example, and six get review flashcards. The reading is a magazine-style Food File where Team Compass tastes pizza and pasta from Italy, sushi from Japan, tacos from Mexico and curry from India, giving real opinions in natural past-tense context, with six hover-tooltip words and a word-cards row. Practice offers 8 contextualised fill-in-the-blank items (food words and opinion words) with live green/red validation, hints and a score. A speaking section gives five opinion prompts and a model food-chat dialogue; a guided 25-45 word writing task asks children to write their food opinions with a four-point checklist and a live word counter with auto-save; and a full 8-question quiz mixes food vocabulary, opinion language and two reading-comprehension questions, with a progress bar, per-question explanations, a conic-gradient result circle and localStorage persistence.
