๐ŸŽฌ Explorers: Grandma's Young Days

A fully interactive A2.1 Explorer Club reading lesson built on the regular past. Students begin with four warm-up questions about their grandparents' young days, then study two reading-skill blocks: Spot the -ed Verbs (how -ed signals a past action, with a 'long ago' signal-words panel: long ago, when she was young, every day, in those days, years ago) and Then & Now (a two-column table comparing life long ago with life today, including didn't for what people didn't have). Ten theme words (long ago, young, radio, letter, farm, field, market, neighbour, candle, change) appear with kid-friendly definitions and examples, and six get review flashcards. The reading, 'Grandma's Young Days', is a magazine-style Team File in which Mia interviews her grandma: it is packed with natural regular past verbs (visited, walked, played, helped, listened, wanted, changed) and didn't forms, with eight hover-tooltip words for support. Practice has 8 contextualised fill-in-the-blank items (regular -ed pasts, a base verb after didn't, and lesson words) with live green/red validation, hints and a running score; speaking gives five interview prompts and a six-line Mia-and-Grandma model dialogue; a guided 25-45 word then-and-now writing task ends with preparing a Did youโ€ฆ? question for a real elder, with a four-point checklist, live word counter and auto-save; and a full 8-question multiple-choice quiz mixes regular past grammar with three reading-comprehension questions, featuring a progress bar, per-question explanations, a conic-gradient result circle and localStorage persistence.
