⭐ Builders: The Participle Families

A fully interactive B1.1 teens grammar lesson from the Perfect module that turns twenty scary irregular past participles into five easy sound families. Four warm-up questions activate last lesson's participles and tune the ear, then a three-box language focus explains why families work (shared end-sound), presents the full family table (own-family: known, flown, grown, thrown, shown; -en family: eaten, taken, given, broken, written; -ought family: bought, brought, thought, caught, taught; ee-family: seen, been; no-change: cut, put, let), and teaches the chant method — learn by ear, not by heart. Ten key verbs come with their participle, a B1 definition and a present-perfect example, and six flashcards review the five families plus a memory-trick card. The reading is a Snap Tournament in which Priya, Marco, Sam and Aylin sort, chant and slap participle cards, with seven hover-tooltip words. Practice offers eight single-word participle fill-ins (one per family, with family hints), live feedback and a score; speaking is a five-prompt Family Challenge with a six-line model dialogue; the guided 40-70 word writing task asks for a notebook page on a favourite family with a four-point checklist and live counter; and an eight-question quiz mixes participle forms, family sorting and the no-change trap with two comprehension questions about the reading, complete with progress bar, explanations, a result circle and localStorage saving.
