📖 Lesson B1 Speaking🎓 Education

🧱 Builders: Fluency Circuits

The third Launchpad lesson trains the one thing most learners fear: keeping going. Today's rule is fluency over accuracy — builders count seconds, not mistakes. Part two is a three-part speaking toolkit. The Filler Toolbox teaches the phrases that buy thinking time (well, actually, you know, let me think) with worked examples and a today's-rule panel. The Talk Pyramid table sets the core drill: round one is 30 seconds of non-stop talk, round two stretches the same topic to 60 seconds with an example, round three reaches 90 seconds with an opinion and reason, while a partner counts fillers and cheers. Dead-Air Rescue gives five moves for when the mind goes blank: use a filler, rephrase, give an example, ask yourself a question, and slow down without stopping. Ten fluency words (fluency, stamina, filler, pause, well, actually, you know, let me think, rephrase, pace) come with full definitions and examples, and six become flashcards. The reading is a 142-word Studio Circuits story following Sam, Marco and Aylin up the pyramid, with seven hover-tooltip words. Practice is eight fill-in-the-blanks on the fluency toolkit; speaking gives the full pyramid plus a model six-line 90-second round between Marco and Priya; the guided 40-70 word writing task plans a 60-second mirror talk with a four-point checklist; and an eight-question quiz mixes fillers, the pyramid and two reading-comprehension questions, with a progress bar, explanations, a result circle and localStorage persistence.
