✍️ Explorers: The Perfect Sentence

A fully interactive A2.2 Kids writing-craft lesson that opens the Writing Studio unit of the Explorer Club Master Level. Children learn the CUPS self-check as a four-step craft toolkit — Capitals (start, names, places and the word I), Understanding/Sense (read it aloud, is the meaning clear?), Punctuation (full stop, question mark, exclamation mark) and Spelling (check tricky words) — then apply it to heal broken sentences in a 'Sentence Hospital' story starring Team Compass. Four warm-up questions activate prior knowledge; three craft boxes present the CUPS check with formula chips, worked examples, a capital-clues panel and a before/after fix table. Ten key words (sentence, capital letter, full stop, question mark, punctuation, spelling, check, edit, mistake, clear) appear in a scrollable table and six review flashcards. The reading is an illustrated Craft File where Mia, Leo, Zeynep and Kofi diagnose and repair sick sentences, with key vocabulary highlighted on hover. Practice includes 8 single-word fill-in-the-blank items with live green/red validation, hints and a running score; a speaking section with five sentence-doctor prompts and a model five-line partner dialogue; a guided 30–50 word writing task asking for two CUPS-checked sentences with a four-point checklist and a live auto-saving word counter; and an 8-question multiple-choice quiz with a progress bar, per-question explanations, a conic-gradient result circle with tiered feedback, and localStorage persistence.
