💬 Explorers: The Kind Way to Disagree
A fully interactive A2.2 Kids opinion-language lesson from the Explorer Club Master Level. Students learn to disagree politely — sharing a different idea without any conflict. After four warm-up questions, they study three focus blocks: The Yes, But… Move (soft start + but + I think + your idea, with a signal panel of soft starts: Yes but, I see but, That's true but, Good point but, Maybe but), a Rude or Polite? table that rewrites four harsh lines into kind ones, and Stay Kind & Give a Reason (adding because after a polite disagreement). Ten key words (disagree, agree, opinion, point, true, polite, calm, maybe, respect, but) appear in a scrollable table with kid-friendly definitions and examples, and six get review flashcards. The reading is an Opinion File where Team Compass plans a trip, disagrees kindly and finds a compromise, with seven hover-tooltip words. Practice includes eight contextualised fill-in-the-blank questions (disagree, point, true, but, opinion, polite, maybe, respect) with live green/red validation, hints and a running score; a speaking section with five polite-disagreement prompts and a model six-line ping-pong dialogue; a guided 30–50 word writing task rewriting a disagreement politely; and a full eight-question quiz with a progress bar, per-question explanations, a conic-gradient result circle and localStorage persistence.
