🟣 Little Stars 5: Six Bright Colours
A complete 45-minute teacher-led lesson that turns last week’s three colours into six. After the fixed Hello Routine with the puppet Pip and a round of the Colour Song with scarves, four new colours — green, orange, purple and pink — come out of the magic bag one scarf at a time, and the whole class echoes each one twice. Then the lesson moves: six colour cards go up around the room and everybody runs to the colour Pip calls; one balloon is kept in the air while the group shouts its colour on every tap; and in the loudest moment of the lesson Pip names a colour wrongly and the children correct the puppet — “Noo! Purple!” The lesson closes with a rainbow streamer dance to the second, faster round of the song, three calm breaths and the Goodbye Song. Recognition always comes before production: running to the right corner or touching the right card is a correct answer. Nothing is read and nothing is written. A closing teacher screen carries the minute-by-minute plan, the materials list, support and challenge notes, the 30-minute adaptation and the home connection.
