📖 Lesson B2 Speaking🎓 Education

⏱️ Horizon: The Dress-Run Talks

The whole presentation module runs at once: hook and roadmap, signposts, delivery dials and Q&A bridges meet a four-criterion rubric under field conditions — three minutes, standing, no restarts. Panels calibrate on a sample talk before anyone speaks, then score architecture, signposting, delivery and Q&A. Marco’s mid-talk collapse — recovered with composure and a live signpost — becomes the day’s biggest lesson. Feedback conferences run on modal perfects (You could have paused after the hook; a signpost might have kept us oriented), praise arrives as clefts, and everyone leaves with exactly two dated I’ll-commitments to implement before the Symposium.

auto_fix_high Grammar Points

  • Modal perfects for tactful feedback: could have / might have + past participle (You could have paused after the hook)
  • Would have + past participle for imagined results: one more signpost would have kept us oriented
  • Cleft praise fronts what matters: What worked best was your hook
  • Commitments with I’ll + base verb plus a test date: I’ll build in the pause — tested Thursday
  • Irregular plural: one criterion, four criteria
