🎬 Summit: Focus on the Thing
The Passive module opens with the big flip: the thing moves to the front, and am/is/are + past participle carries the action. Aylin’s studio rules sheet shows the passive doing its favourite job — describing processes — and hides one story between the lines. Learners finish by writing their own 50–80-word process sheet.
Lesson Plan
- Four questions about daily rules and routines
- Answers start with the thing, not the person
Key Vocabulary
Grammar Points
- Present simple passive: am/is/are + past participle
- by + agent — added only when the doer matters
- Passive questions and negatives: Is the key returned? / The studio isn’t opened.
- Active vs passive choice: put the topic of the sentence first
