š¦ Explorers: Signs Around Us
A fully interactive A2.1 Kids vocabulary lesson that teaches children to read everyday signs and turn them into rules. Students warm up with four questions about signs, then study three language blocks: Signs that say MUSTN'T ('No' signs become You mustn't + base verb), Signs that say MUST (Quiet please / Stop / Wet floor become You must + base verb), and a Sign Decoder table matching signs to their rules. Ten sign words (sign, no entry, stop, quiet please, no swimming, no litter, wet floor, exit, danger, careful) appear in a scrollable table and six review flashcards. The reading is a magazine-style Rules File in which Team Compass walks a nature trail and reads every sign, translating each into must or mustn't in natural context with hover tooltips. Practice offers eight contextualised fill-in-the-blank items (must, mustn't and sign words) with live feedback and a score. Speaking runs a sign-reading role-play with five prompts and a six-line model dialogue; writing is a guided 25-45 word set of signs and their rules with a four-point checklist and live word counter with auto-save; and an eight-question quiz mixes sign-to-rule transformation with two reading-comprehension questions, with per-question explanations, a result circle and localStorage persistence.
