👋 Sunshine Club: The New Friend

A fully interactive A1.1 Kids reading lesson built around the Sunshine Club story 'The New Friend', in which shy new boy Omar arrives at the club door and Ela, Tom and Nina welcome him with the greeting lines from Lessons 1-3. Children start with four action warm-ups (wave, say your name, greet a friend, say Welcome!), then meet the four story words (new, friend, welcome, shy) in emoji word rows and the story chunks 'Welcome!' and 'This is my friend...' in a simple pattern box with a magic-hello-words chip panel. Ten easy vocabulary items (hello, hi, bye, goodbye, new, friend, welcome, shy, name, smile) appear in a scrollable table with 3-6 word definitions, and six get review flashcards. The tiny story (about 70 words, lines of 3-7 words, big repetition) has five hover-tooltip words and is followed by a first-literacy word-card chip row (hello, bye, name, new, friend, welcome) for whole-word recognition only. Practice offers 8 one-word fill-in-the-blanks (am, is, friend, shy, welcome, name, new, bye) with live green/red feedback and hints; the speaking part guides acting the story in threes with five short prompts and a six-line model dialogue; the frame-based writing task retells the story start in 10-20 words with a three-step checklist, live word counter and auto-save; and the 8-question Sunshine Quiz (with two story questions) gives one-sentence explanations, a progress bar, a result circle and localStorage persistence.
