🕒 Grammar A1-12: Prepositions of time

The time-preposition material of the Fleydo A1 grammar series, written for learners of about seven to ten. It teaches at / on / in from one picture instead of a list: a size ladder in which “at” is a tiny point on the clock, “on” is one whole day on the calendar, and “in” is a big box of time with many days inside it. The same three colours run through the ladder, the tap-and-hear cards, the three-way sorter and the bins, so a child can answer by size before they can answer by rule. Practice is spread across five blocks — eight easy gaps, a twelve-card sort into three boxes, six items on the phrases that break the rule (at night, at the weekend, on Monday morning, and the times that take no word at all: today, tomorrow, tonight, every day), eight harder two-gap items inside real sentences, and six errors to repair. Every answer explains itself in language simpler than the grammar being taught. Teacher notes give a 45-minute sequence, the dot–line–box board move, what to do with a learner who is guessing, and the follow-up topics.
