🎬 Horizon: The Sliding Doors Stories
The task lesson of the hypotheticals expedition. The studio becomes the Sliding Doors Theatre: each explorer performs a real moment in past tenses, opens the other door with a suppose-hinge, and delivers a ghost version built from chained third conditionals, landing on a now-bridge. Learners revise the second and third conditionals in connected narrative, watch the crew perform their own two-version stories, and stage a Real-vs-Ghost audience vote.

Grammar Points
- Third conditional for unreal past: If + past perfect, would/might/could have + past participle
- The if-clause never takes would: If I had studied…, not If I would have studied…
- Past change with a present result (the now-bridge): If + past perfect, would + base verb + now (If I had missed it, I wouldn’t be here now)
- Second conditional for what is still unreal now: If I could replay that day, I would choose the same door
- ’d is ambiguous: in the if-clause ’d = had; in the result clause ’d = would (If I’d known, I’d have called)
