👨👩👧 Sunshine Club: He and She!
Lesson 20 of the Sunshine Club A1.1 series (ages 7-9) extends the My Family unit with the pronouns he and she. Children warm up by pointing at boys and girls and shouting the right pronoun, then study two friendly boxes: He or she? (emoji rows sorting boy → he, girl → she, man → he, woman → she) and He's and She's, where formula chips show He + is → He's and She + is → She's with three examples (He's my dad, She's my mum, She's seven) and a remember-panel of sorting chips. Ten key words (he, she, man, woman, boy, girl, friend, seven, sister, point) fill the vocabulary table with 3-6 word kid definitions, and the six core words get review flashcards. Story Corner tells 'He or She?' (about 70 words), a game-day story where Tom flashes picture cards and the Sunshine kids shout He! or She!, ending with Ela's photo (He's my dad, She's my mum, She's seven), with five hover tooltips and a six-chip sight-word row. Practice offers 8 one-word blanks (he, she, boy, girl, man, woman, is) with live feedback and hints; Speaking runs a guess-who pronoun game with five short prompts and a 6-line Tom-and-Ela dialogue; Writing reframes the homework as two photo sentences with He's and She's frames, a 4-step checklist and a 10-20 word counter; and the Sunshine Quiz asks 8 ultra-simple questions (two about the story) with one-sentence explanations and saved progress.
