🏖️ Holidays: Activities, Weather & the Past Simple

The Unit 7 'Holidays' study pack from the SHALL WE?! 6 curriculum, designed to help young learners prepare for their English exam. The material opens on a flashcard study mode with a warm, holiday-themed design. Seven tappable categories organise all the unit vocabulary: Activities (16 phrases such as diving, fishing, skiing, hiking, sailing, playing table tennis, making a sandcastle, having a snowball fight, staying in a tent and visiting grandparents), Places for a Holiday (lake, village, hotel, seaside, forest, river, beach, mountain), Weather Conditions (stormy, rainy, snowy, cold, sunny, hot), and Other Important Words (help, enjoy, study, documentary, live, near, region, cook, try, learn, today, yesterday, last week, …ago and more). Two further categories cover the unit's grammar focus: nine regular verbs that add -ed (climbed, played, studied, tried) and nine high-frequency irregular verbs (was/were, did, drank, ate, went, had, made, read, swam). Each flashcard flips to reveal the Turkish meaning; verb cards present the base form (V1) on the front and the past form (V2) plus meaning on the back, with a colour badge showing whether the verb is regular or irregular. Study tools include a progress bar, a 'known' counter, a one-tap 'I know it' toggle, a shuffle button, a 'hide learned cards' filter, and full keyboard navigation. A 'Tümü' (All) category combines every card for final review. The Test mode generates an automatic multiple-choice quiz of up to twelve questions from the selected category — asking for meanings (English→Turkish) and past-tense forms (base→V2) — with instant green/red feedback, a live score and a motivational result message. The Grammar tab is a complete Simple Past Tense reference written in Turkish: it explains that the tense describes finished past actions, then breaks down positive sentences (subject + V2), negative sentences (subject + didn't + base verb), yes/no questions (Did + subject + base verb), and Wh- questions, each with formula blocks and bilingual example sentences, finishing with a nine-verb irregular table. Progress is saved in the browser so students can return to where they left off.
