📖 Lesson A2 Grammar📐 Grammar

⏰ Explorers: Yesterday I Was...

A fully interactive A2 Kids grammar lesson — the identity moment where young explorers speak in the past for the first time. Students begin with four time-machine warm-up questions, then study the language in three clear blocks: Am, Is, Are — Into the Past! (today/now vs yesterday/past with formula chips and a signal-words panel: yesterday, last night, yesterday afternoon, last weekend), Two Teams: was & were (was for I/he/she/it, were for we/you/they, with a five-row person table), and Say Where, Say How (building person + was/were + place or feeling sentences: Yesterday I was at the park; last night we were tired). Ten key items (yesterday, last night, at home, at school, at the park, tired, happy, sad, hungry, time machine) appear in a scrollable table with kid-friendly definitions and was/were example sentences, and six get detailed review flashcards. The reading is a magazine-style Time Machine Diary (~230 words): Team Compass opens the green time-machine box and Zeynep, Leo, Mia and Kofi each remember where they were yesterday and how they were — affirmative was/were only, with key vocabulary highlighted on hover. Practice includes 8 fill-in-the-blank questions choosing was or were plus lesson words, with live green/red validation, hints and a running score; a speaking section with five memory-chain and family-report prompts and a model chain dialogue that grows sentence by sentence; a guided 25-40 word writing task about where two family members were yesterday evening, with a four-point checklist and a live word counter with auto-save; and a full 8-question multiple-choice quiz featuring a progress bar, per-question explanations, a conic-gradient result circle with tiered motivational feedback, and localStorage persistence.
