📖 Lesson A1 Grammar🏠 Everyday Life

🏠 At My House: Where Is Everything?

A fully interactive A1 Teens grammar lesson built around a familiar place — home. Students warm up with four questions about their own house, then study prepositions of place through visual diagrams: a box and a ball show in, on, under, next to, behind, and between at a glance. A rooms table pairs each room (kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, garden) with what you do there, and ten furniture words are chipped visually. The lesson also teaches 'Where is/are...?' questions with is (one thing) and are (two or more). The reading section is an extended, double-length home tour (around 650 words) in which two teenagers show every room of their homes: Sofia's small, tidy city flat and Tom's big, messy country house — packed with natural examples of in, on, under and the other prepositions in context. Ten key vocabulary items appear in a horizontally-scrollable table with part of speech, A1-friendly definition, and example, while six receive detailed flashcards. Practice includes 8 contextualised fill-in-the-blank questions (prepositions, rooms, and is/are) with hints, live validation, and score tracking; a speaking section where partners ask where things are at home; a guided 50–70 word writing task with a checklist and live word counter; and a full 8-question multiple-choice quiz featuring a progress bar, per-question explanations, a result circle with motivational feedback, and localStorage persistence.
