⛓️ Builders: The Choice Story

A fully interactive B1.1 reading lesson that opens the Conditional module's skills work for the Builders' Studio crew. Learners warm up with four questions about choices and consequences, then build the Reading Toolkit: 'Predict with If' teaches the first conditional (if + present simple, will + base verb) as a prediction tool, while 'How a Choice Story Works' names the parts of a branching text — branch, path, consequence, outcome — and drills five path-finder moves (stop, predict, choose, read on, check). Ten target words (path, choice, consequence, branch, predict, option, outcome, warn, risk, decision) appear in a scrollable table and six review flashcards. The reading, 'The Cave of Two Tunnels', is a choose-your-path adventure starring Priya, Sam and Aylin, with hover-tooltip vocabulary and first conditionals in natural context. Practice offers eight single-word fill-in-the-blank items (if/unless, will, present verbs, lesson words) with live feedback, hints and a running score; speaking gives five prediction prompts and a six-line model dialogue at the branch; a guided 40-70 word writing task with a four-point checklist and a live word counter with auto-save asks learners to choose a tunnel and predict the outcome; and a full 8-question quiz mixes first-conditional grammar, reading strategy and two comprehension questions, with per-question explanations, a progress bar, a result circle and localStorage persistence.
